Perle Cotton 8 was used for the French Knot Sample.   For the Crazy Quilt Heart project use 3 strands of 6 Strand Floss.

Use 3 Strands of 6 Strand Cranberry Floss for French Knots on #2, French Knots between #5 and #6.  French Knots between #5 and #8.  Use Shocking Pink (3 strand of 6 Strand Floss) for French Knots on Pieces #6 and #8.  French Knots between #7 and #9.

Using 3 Strands of 6 Strand Beige Floss, stitch French Knots on # 9 and #10 and between #8 and #7.   Then spray adhesive on the large Fuchsia Circle and set in place on #6.

Spray adhesive on the Small Passion Fruit Circle and set on the Large Fuchsia Circle.  Optional: Whip Stitch Circle in place using 1 strand of 6 Strand Floss – matching colors.

The Bullion Stitch is beautiful but may require some practice.   If you would like to practice do not use the floss provided in the kit.  Once you are comfortable with the stitch, go ahead and and create Bullion Stitch around the Passion Fruit Circle.

It is not important to have exactly 7 Bullion Stitches.  Try to make sure that there is an odd number of Bullion Stitches as opposed to an even number.

The Completed Bullion Stitches around the smaller circle really adds some pizzazz.

Stitch a French Knot in the Center of the Small Passion Fruit Circle.  If your preference is a bigger French Knot (which was mine).   Thread the needle with 3 Strands of 6 Strand Floss and Fold the floss to double to 6 strands.   The above French Knot is a total of 6 Strands.   The instructions suggest 2 loops for hanging, which is fine.  My personal preference is a Worked Button Loop.  Below are instructions for both.

Start the Blanket Stitch at A and continue to B.   Leave the floss and needle in tact.

Spray the Adhesive to the wrong side of the Stitched Heart – making sure not to spray the floss or the needle!  I like using clips to hold the two pieces together.  It really keeps the pieces from shifting.
