Supplies Needed:
- Curved Embroidery Scissors (My favorite KAI #N5100, 4″ Curved Tip Needlecraft Scissors) I love these scissors. Inexpensive, sharp and long lasting.
- Thread Conditioner (optional)
- 505 Fabric Spray Adhesive or similar (optional)
- Dritz Fabric Glue Stick (optional)
Optional: Clips and Tiger Tape. Tiger Tape comes in different sizes. Helps with stitch placement.
Place piece on one of the black backgrounds. Lightly spray a piece of cardboard with 505 Fabric Adhesive. This will keep pieces from flying all over the place when spraying the actual pieces.
Turn the pieces to the WRONG side and set on the cardboard. Spray adhesive on all the pieces.
Place all the pieces back onto a black background base. Place an end of the RicRac under piece #8
Optional: Whip Stitch all the pieces to the base. Make sure not to stitch the outer edge of the bulb. Use 1 strand of 6 strand floss – matching color.
Stitch the RicRac in place using 1 strand of Beige floss. Take the other end of the RicRac and stitch to the back of the base.
Come up at A, Down at B
Up at C, Down at D
Continue with the Elongated Fly Stitch
Continue with Elongated Fly Stitch alongside the RicRac.
Stitch Elongated Fly Stitch between #4 and #5 and #11. Start the Blanket Stitch on #1 & #2
Finish the Blanket Stitch on #1 & #2. Then Blanket Stitch between #4 and #5.
Blanket Stitch Between #8 and #12
Blanket Stitch between #7 and #8. Blanket Stitch between #4 and #10 & #12
