Note when coming up at E the goes through the floss – hence the “Split”

Come up at A, then down at B

Up at C then down at D, then up at E

Down at F. The first Split Elongated Fly Stitch is complete! Continue stitching the Split Elongated Fly Stitch.

Up at C then down at D – continue until the row of Split Elongated Fly Stitches is complete.

Stitch another row of Split Elongated Fly Stitches between #8, #9 & #12. Then stitch another row of SEFS between #10 & #12.

The first group of Stitches are A, B, & C. Note after coming up at C the next group of stitches (D, E) are to the right of stitch group (A, B, C) and the next group of stitches (F & G) are to the left of Stitch group (D & E). One group of stitches to the right, next group of stitches to the left, then next group of stitches to the right etc.

Feather Stitch between #9 and #10.

Continue stitching the different steps. Note down at D is to the right of the first group of stitches.

Down at F is to the left of the last stitch group.

Once the Feather Stitch is completed on #9 and #10, then start Feather Stitching between #3 and #4.

Stitch French Knots – Beige Floss on #3, Dark Red Floss of #4. Below is a Stitch Guide for French Knots if you need a refresher course. Then start the Daisy Stitch Up at A down at B, between #4, #11, #5. Detailed instructions for the Daisy Stitch, Running Stitch and French Knot are below.

Complete the Daisy Stitch.

Then stitch the Running Stitch and place a French Knot on top of the Running Stitch.

Finish the row of Daisy Stitches, Running Stitches and French Knots. Then start the next group of Daisy Stitches, Running Stitches and French Knots between #1 and #2.

Finish the next row of Daisy Stitches, Running Stitches and French Knots between #7 and #8. Then stitch a row of Fly Stitches between #3, #4 and #10.
